After 4 minutes of play, New Team Säter 02's Östen Åkerman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Pettersson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Ivar Berglund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kent Sillén was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Rickard Pihlblad's late challenge caught a New Team Säter 02's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rickard Pihlblad helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Garn Soccers's Rickard Pihlblad got a free kick in the 10th minute. Garn Soccers's Ivar Berglund managed to work through New Team Säter 02's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ivar Berglund dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Gustav Lilja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Rickard Pihlblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivar Berglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garn Soccers's Eric Pettersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Garn Soccers from getting a goal against them. Hampus Jonsson took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Pettersson. Eric Pettersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. A collision led to New Team Säter 02 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Östen Åkerman hit a great ball. Erik Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Ivar Berglund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Team Säter 02's Kent Sillén was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Garn Soccers's Ivar Berglund in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Team Säter 02's goalie prevented a goal. Eric Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Alebäck in the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to Garn Soccers getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Rickard Pihlblad hit a great ball. Olof Svensson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Pettersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustav Lilja to make the kick off. Ivar Berglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Garn Soccers's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Alebäck came free, but Eric Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Pettersson came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by New Team Säter 02's Ronny Jakobsson. But to his dismay, Ronny Jakobsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 63rd minute Östen Åkerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Åkerman in the 64th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Östen Åkerman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eric Pettersson. Garn Soccers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Östen Åkerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Eric Pettersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Åkerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Alebäck in the 74th minute of play forced Garn Soccers's goalkeeper Eric Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Berglund got in the 76th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kent Sillén handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Erik Österlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Sillén having to interfere. Ivar Berglund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kent Sillén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivar Berglund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kent Sillén. That made the score 5-2 in the 96 minute of play. New Team Säter 02's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
