An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Grönberg in the 7th minute of play forced North Town United's goalkeeper Sakarias Salkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sven-Oskar Linberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakarias Salkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Grönberg in the 13th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Stefan Hellqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Town United and the Bjuråker players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stefan Hellqvist hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Dick Grönberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Andreas Jakobsson fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After a defensive mix-up in North Town United's zone, Sven-Oskar Linberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakarias Salkvist came out of the goal and Sven-Oskar Linberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dick Grönberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sakarias Salkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sakarias Salkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dick Grönberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Dick Grönberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Salkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sven-Oskar Linberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Bjuråker's Dick Grönberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sakarias Salkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sakarias Salkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Grönberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dick Grönberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakarias Salkvist having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Dick Grönberg fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sakarias Salkvist, passed just outside the right post. Sven-Oskar Linberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sakarias Salkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Oskar Linberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd match minute, North Town United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Valler to maneuver through the defense. When Dick Grönberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bjuråker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dick Grönberg couldn't finish the play. Dick Grönberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Sakarias Salkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Bjuråker could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than North Town United throughout the match.
