The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilgot Molander during the 6th minute. Gnosjö's David Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Lindgren in the 11th minute of play. Timmy Bruhn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Falck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Mattias Uggla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Brandholmen BK's Timmy Bruhn got control of the ball when Karl-Michael Arenberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Karl-Magnus Lövgren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Timmy Bruhn. The goal made the score 1-0. During the 31st minute of the match Vilgot Molander completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vilgot Molander a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 32 played minutes Gnosjö got a freekick which was hit by Vilgot Molander. Kent Granström thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished David Henriksson, a very annoying self made goal in the 34th minute which led to 1-1. A collision led to Brandholmen BK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Thomas Termander hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, Karl-Magnus Lövgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gnosjö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brandholmen BK the free kick. Karl-Magnus Lövgren kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thomas Termander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bertil Lindgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Falck in the 79th minute of play forced Brandholmen BK's goalkeeper Timmy Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Termander kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Niklas Salkvist's late challenge caught a Gnosjö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niklas Salkvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Brandholmen BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Salkvist to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes, Gnosjö's Kent Granström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timmy Bruhn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gnosjö reached it. During the 90th minute of the match Mattias Uggla completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mattias Uggla a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Brandholmen BK's Mattias Uggla got a free kick in the 91st minute. Brandholmen BK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gnosjö had controlled the match.
