Liverpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teachers the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Bernt Utter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Rosén dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Liverpool FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
