The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Skagersvik BK's Urban Hök played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Broman in the 2nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billy Bergqvist during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hamneda getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Billy Bergqvist hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Karl-Åke Asplund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Skagersvik BK defense, Douglas Broman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urban Hök. The Skagersvik BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urban Hök should have stopped the shot. After 11 minutes, Karl-Åke Asplund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hamneda and the Skagersvik BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Karl-Åke Asplund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Hamneda's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leif Kilman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Skagersvik BK's zone, Karl-Åke Asplund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urban Hök came out of the goal and Karl-Åke Asplund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urban Hök showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Broman, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Skagersvik BK's Per-Olof Nyman got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 23 played minutes Skagersvik BK got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Jelm. Urban Hök took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Broman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urban Hök showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Simonsson in the 25th minute of the match. Martin Rolfsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jonatan Tidéksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Leif Kilman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skagersvik BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif Kilman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Tidéksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malcolm Simonsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Hök having to interfere. If Leif Kilman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Hamneda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Broman to strike the kick off in the second half. Urban Hök made an important save on a dangerous shot by Malcolm Simonsson in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Skagersvik BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Åman to maneuver through the defense. Douglas Broman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Hök having to interfere. Jonatan Tidéksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Rolfsson in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hamneda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
