The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bror Linberg during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Linköping United defense, Kurt Björkman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Max Boberg. Linköping United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Linberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Biörkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Bror Linberg made the kick off in the second half. Alex Biörkman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Holmstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alex Biörkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Linberg in the 54th minute of play. If Carl Holmstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Linköping United's zone, Anthon Brandin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Boberg came out of the goal and Anthon Brandin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bror Linberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Alex Biörkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Linköping United's goalkeeper Max Boberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Björkman. Anthon Brandin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Max Boberg made a huge save. Max Boberg was a little too slow when Anthon Brandin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 3-3. Kurt Björkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
