Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 0) Sven-Ove Stephansson made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Sandviken's Vilhelm Lundin got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 5 played minutes, Reftele IF's Kalle Friberger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl-Ove Holmgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Reftele IF reached it. Karl-Ove Holmgren came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Reftele IF's Mårten Bergström. But to his dismay, Mårten Bergström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mårten Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Holmgren having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Mårten Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reftele IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mårten Bergström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Dahlman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Holmgren having to interfere. In the 18thth minute of the game Sven-Ove Stephansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sandviken's Karl-Ove Holmgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Mårten Bergström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Ove Stephansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Holmgren having to interfere. Karl-Ove Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Stephansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes, Börje Magnusson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandviken and the Reftele IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Börje Magnusson hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The Sandviken players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Reftele IF were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Söderkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mårten Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Holmgren having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Karl-Ove Holmgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sven-Ove Stephansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Holmgren having to interfere. Sven-Ove Stephansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Verner Wallin fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandviken's protests and gave Verner Wallin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Sandviken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Ove Stephansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Ove Holmgren having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Stephansson in the 71st minute of play forced Sandviken's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match, Mårten Bergström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karl-Ove Holmgren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 74th minute, Mårten Bergström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Reftele IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 94th minute Sven-Ove Stephansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Ove Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reftele IF played a much better game than Sandviken and deserved their victory. The Sandviken players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
