When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Axel Sundberg put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Frans Bäckström. When Rickard Låsberg fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Brinken's protests and gave Rickard Låsberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes AS Brinken got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Låsberg. Kent Vallin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Fred Hylander when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kent Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Hylander having to interfere. Christer Beck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Christer Beck fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Brinken's protests and gave Christer Beck a yellow card for diving instead. Christer Beck hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt-Åke Rosendahl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Österfärnebo IK's zone, Axel Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Bäckström came out of the goal and Axel Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kent Vallin scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fred Hylander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Sundberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frans Bäckström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Sundberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Österfärnebo IK's Bengt-Åke Rosendahl got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kent Vallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Hylander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Vallin in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Beck in the 45th minute of play forced Österfärnebo IK's goalkeeper Frans Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Axel Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Herbert Löfkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, AS Brinken's Jonatan Enegren tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AS Brinken's Jonatan Enegren got a free kick in the 57th minute. Harry Brodin who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Fred Hylander's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Harry Brodin was beeing forced to shoot. The audience was convinced that Kent Vallin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fred Hylander was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Axel Sundberg scored 1-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frans Bäckström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fred Hylander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Vallin in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Österfärnebo IK's Bengt-Åke Rosendahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Hylander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kent Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Hylander having to interfere. Frans Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Beck, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Beck in the 83rd minute of play forced Österfärnebo IK's goalkeeper Frans Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frans Bäckström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christer Beck in the 87th minute. AS Brinken's Christer Beck got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rickard Låsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AS Brinken had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
