Åke Gallberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Kent Vallin came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Österfärnebo IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Vallin couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Österfärnebo IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Åke Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sigvard Kellbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frans Bäckström was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Österfärnebo IK's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Blanck came free, but Frans Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
