Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) AS Brinken's Christer Beck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fritz Åkerström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Hylander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Pelle Tingelholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Christer Beck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Fritz Åkerström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urshult FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fritz Åkerström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Hylander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Conny Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, AS Brinken's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Norberg came free, but Fred Hylander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urban Strandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fred Hylander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AS Brinken were furious when Villiam Björk was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 25 minutes into the game, one of AS Brinken:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Fritz Åkerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Urshult FF's Fritz Åkerström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Hylander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Conny Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Hylander having to interfere. Axel Sundberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Björn Näver. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Sundberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Fritz Åkerström managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Brinken's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urshult FF the free kick. In the 46th minute, Pelle Tingelholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fritz Åkerström to make the kick off. When Urshult FF's Conny Norberg in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, AS Brinken's Pelle Tingelholm got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Fritz Åkerström came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Urshult FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Åkerström couldn't finish the play. Conny Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Hylander having to interfere. The supporters of Urshult FF booed when AS Brinken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Strand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fritz Åkerström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Hylander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th of the match, Fritz Åkerström tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Fred Hylander got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 95th minute, Fritz Åkerström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
