The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mattias Unesson during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Åhus IF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Mattias Unesson hit a great ball. In the 5th minute of the match Sebastian Ivarsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gert Byström skillfully saved the ball. Herbert Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Unesson in the 6th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Patrik Salqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åhus IF's Gert Byström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernt Ahlrot succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 16th playminute. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Patrik Salqvist sped through Åhus IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gert Byström. 24 minutes into the game, Patrik Salqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gert Byström. Patrik Salqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 35th minute of the match Per-Olof Tholsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gert Byström skillfully saved the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Patrik Salqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gert Byström. Patrik Salqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Patrik Salqvist got in the 46th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gert Byström handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tony Hagberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Hagberg in the 54th minute of play forced Amedspor's goalkeeper Herbert Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert Byström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Ahlrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Gråberg hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Salqvist in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gert Byström saved Åhus IF from getting behind. In the 64th minute Patrik Salqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Byström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Tony Hagberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herbert Jansson, 4-2. When Michael Söderström fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amedspor's protests and gave Michael Söderström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Amedspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Söderström to maneuver through the defense. Åhus IF's Gert Byström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Ahlrot in the 82nd minute of play. Gert Byström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Salqvist in the 86th minute of the match. Amedspor's Patrik Salqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Åhus IF's Gert Byström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Salqvist in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Åhus IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliott Bark to maneuver through the defense.
