Åke Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Matsson having to interfere. When Svante Hasselqvist came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Djurgarden IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svante Hasselqvist couldn't finish the play. Folke Jakobsson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Kevin Holmstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markus Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens-Ola Smitt charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens-Ola Smitt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jens-Ola Smitt kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Djurgarden IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Henriksson came free, but Markus Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Svante Hasselqvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pontus Matsson to make any attempt to save it. In the 18th minute, Djurgarden IF's Svante Hasselqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 23 played minutes Svante Hasselqvist rounded Östbjörka BK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Pontus Matsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Åke Berglund in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Holmstedt in the 28th minute of play forced Djurgarden IF's goalkeeper Markus Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Ek kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Östbjörka BK's Kevin Holmstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markus Norberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Djurgarden IF's Markus Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Holmstedt in the 38th minute of play. If Kevin Holmstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pontus Matsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Hasselqvist in the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

52 minutes into the match, Östbjörka BK's Ulf Henriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markus Norberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Djurgarden IF's Åke Berglund got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulf Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Norberg having to interfere. Markus Norberg came out of the goal and Kevin Holmstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Folke Jakobsson kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Villiam Lindström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Djurgarden IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Östbjörka BK the free kick. In the 80th minute, one of Djurgarden IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Djurgarden IF. The referee gave Östbjörka BK a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by William Hjelm, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Djurgarden IF's Markus Norberg. 3-1. Svante Hasselqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svante Hasselqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pontus Matsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Svante Hasselqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Svante Hasselqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djurgarden IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
