Jimmy Runeberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Douglas Liljeström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Vinström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helge Hammarberg having to interfere. The supporters of Blue Saints booed when Trelleborg IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Dalström didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Adrian Vinström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Trelleborg IF's Jimmy Runeberg got control of the ball when Nils-Erik Fredriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Blue Saints defense, Adrian Vinström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Helge Hammarberg. The Blue Saints fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Helge Hammarberg should have stopped the shot. Nils-Erik Fredriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Helge Hammarberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Vinström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Blue Saints's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Liljeström came free, but Helge Hammarberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Vinström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Helge Hammarberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunnar Alebeck hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Helge Hammarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Liljeström, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 69th minute, Douglas Liljeström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 2-3 became the score in the 73rd minute when Adrian Vinström elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Douglas Liljeström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Helge Hammarberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Jan Hurtig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Arman Lundgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Helge Hammarberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Liljeström in the 83rd minute. Blue Saints's Helge Hammarberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Vinström in the 85th minute of play.
