Österbymo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valter Österlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valter Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, one of Österbymo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Österbymo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valter Österlund to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Österbymo's Brian Hultin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Arhenius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Brian Hultin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Arhenius. That made the score 2-2 in the 57 minute of play. Österbymo's Sebastian Grep got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Brian Hultin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Hultin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alvar Allbom came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Österbymo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvar Allbom couldn't finish the play. Brian Hultin struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Martin Arhenius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Österbymo. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Gunnar Hedlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfta's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunnar Hedlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Utter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Österbymo's Brian Hultin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Valter Österlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Arhenius was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Österbymo's Axel Kinnman got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Österbymo's Brian Hultin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lars-Erik Sundström in the 92 minute of the game.
