If Conny Bredberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Bredberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The Klimpfjäll fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Klimpfjäll's Conny Bredberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 22 minutes into the game, Olof Hellström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salabackar United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Klimpfjäll the free kick. 23 minutes into the match, Algot Nyberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per Österberg. Salabackar United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Algot Nyberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Emil Bäckström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lukas Morat in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per Österberg saved Salabackar United from getting behind. After 34 played minutes Salabackar United got a freekick which was hit by Evert Eklund. Emil Bäckström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Göran Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salabackar United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göran Mattsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Göran Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Eklund having to interfere. If Conny Bredberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Salabackar United's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Bredberg came free, but Per Österberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Mattsson to make the kick off. Conny Bredberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Per Österberg made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Salabackar United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Emil Bäckström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Emil Bäckström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per Österberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When Klimpfjäll's Emil Bäckström in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
