Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arvid Browald got the match started through his kick off. Alexander Johansson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Arvid Browald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Alexander Lindblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Lindblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Ulrik Hökqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gävle RK the free kick. 11 minutes into the game, Gävle RK's Ragnar Gustafsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Nordström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Gävle RK's goalkeeper Jens Berg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvid Browald. The supporters of Gais booed when Gävle RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Öman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvid Browald made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 17thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jens Berg would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Jens Berg made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Tim Dalberg sent off a good shot on target. Ulrik Hökqvist hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gävle RK's zone, Arvid Browald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens Berg came out of the goal and Arvid Browald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jens Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvid Browald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Tim Dalberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Gävle RK's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Hansson came free, but Jens Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell William Gallberg to make the kick off. Alexander Lindblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens Berg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arvid Browald went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Tim Dalberg made a precise shot to the right of Jens Berg. Gävle RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Marko Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 minutes, Stig-Arne Wik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gais and the Gävle RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, one of Gais:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gais. After 81 played minutes Gävle RK got a freekick which was hit by Henry Ahlquist. Tim Dalberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexander Lindblom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig-Arne Wik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Berg having to interfere. In the 89th minute Arvid Browald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Tim Dalberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jens Berg. Gävle RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tim Dalberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Gais walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
