But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Strömberg couldn't finish the play. Karl-Johan Lindholm's late challenge caught a Miola BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Johan Lindholm helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Miola BK booed when Åshöjdens BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Lindholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Börge Lönn sped through Åshöjdens BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jesper Holm. In the 11th minute, Egil Ferm made a precise shot to the right of Jesper Holm. Åshöjdens BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Börge Lönn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Egil Ferm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miola BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Egil Ferm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesper Holm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 19 played minutes Miola BK got a freekick which was hit by Joacim Finnman. Jens-Ola Högberg struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Erik Eckegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åshöjdens BK. If Börge Lönn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes, Miola BK's Joacim Finnman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jesper Holm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Miola BK reached it. Roy Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jesper Holm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, Åshöjdens BK's Jan-Olof Sundström made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erik Eckegren was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Börge Lönn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesper Holm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Lönn came free, but Jesper Holm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Strömberg in the 65th minute of play forced Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Jesper Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Olof Sundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Ola Högberg got free with Erik Eckegren in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miola BK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
