The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eric Stor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helge Engström having to interfere. Edvin Haström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Edvin Haström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerry Ek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gunnar Lövgren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Filiph Ekerot kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Esbjörn Finsberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Kent Kjellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hestra's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Kjellkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerry Ek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edvin Haström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Quitting the team's Jens Vesterberg got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th match minute, Quitting the team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiph Ekerot to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Hestra's Esbjörn Finsberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Helge Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Stor in the 33rd minute of the match. Jerry Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filiph Ekerot hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Kent Kjellkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Stor was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Quitting the team's Gunnar Lövgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Helge Engström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute of the match, Kent Kjellkvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jerry Ek saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 57 minutes into the game, Edvin Haström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jerry Ek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Quitting the team's zone, Kent Kjellkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Ek came out of the goal and Kent Kjellkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edvin Haström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Kent Kjellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Ek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvin Haström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jerry Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Hestra's Kent Kjellkvist fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Quitting the team's Olle Kjellbom got a free kick in the 75th minute. The long shot by Esbjörn Finsberg in the 77th minute really tested Jerry Ek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Hestra's Kent Kjellkvist got a free kick in the 78th minute. With his leg Jerry Ek managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Hestra's Edvin Haström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edvin Haström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alf Pedersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Ek having to interfere. Hestra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
