Spectators: 7372 (Terracing: 5530, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sven-Arne Ahlroht took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Sven-Arne Ahlroht came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Västerås sk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Arne Ahlroht couldn't finish the play. Jerry Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Mårtensson in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Västerås sk booed when Quitting the team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Vesterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerry Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Mårtensson in the 14th minute of the match. The Västerås sk fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Västerås sk's Sven-Arne Ahlroht looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Mårtensson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerry Ek saved Quitting the team from getting behind. If Sven-Arne Ahlroht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Jens Vesterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Västerås sk's Oskar Mikaelsson tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jens Vesterberg's late challenge caught a Västerås sk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens Vesterberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Quitting the team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Vesterberg to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 33 minutes, Jonas Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerås sk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Mårtensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Quitting the team's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Ahlroht came free, but Jerry Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunnar Lövgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gert Ahlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Västerås sk's goalkeeper Gert Ahlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnar Lövgren. Västerås sk's Sven-Arne Ahlroht got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Sven-Arne Ahlroht was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Västerås sk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eric Stor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Ahlin having to interfere. Jerry Ek came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Västerås sk's Jonas Mårtensson. But to his dismay, Jonas Mårtensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 66 minutes into the game, Västerås sk's Jonas Mårtensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerry Ek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Ture Vennerström hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jerry Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Arne Ahlroht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, Quitting the team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olle Kjellbom to maneuver through the defense. Jerry Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Arne Ahlroht in the 78th minute of the match. After 79 minutes, Filiph Ekerot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quitting the team and the Västerås sk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filiph Ekerot kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Quitting the team's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sven-Arne Ahlroht 87 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. 97 minutes into the match, Västerås sk's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Stor came free, but Gert Ahlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Västerås sk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
