In the 15th minute Johan Willig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Gerdberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Qvarnström hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Knut Gustavsson, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ivar Gerdberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Kalfhage in the 40th minute of play. If Johan Willig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rickard Bäckman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urban Alefors read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
