The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pär Nordin during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of 68 United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Risbäck:s goal. Alex Linberg walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Rickard Bäckman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jan-Ove Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When André Telin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the 68 United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Telin couldn't finish the play. Sigvard Ekblom who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Ivar Gerdberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Robin Benett fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 68 United's protests and gave Robin Benett a yellow card for diving instead. Ivar Gerdberg made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Örjan Mellbad sent off a good shot on target. Arvid Asmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Rickard Bäckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Ove Blom made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Telin in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Risbäck's zone, Rickard Bäckman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Ove Blom came out of the goal and Rickard Bäckman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, 68 United's Knut Gustavsson tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arvid Asmundsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivar Gerdberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arvid Asmundsson ran back to his position shaking his head. André Telin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jan-Ove Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match Gottfrid Karlberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivar Gerdberg skillfully saved the ball. Ivar Gerdberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Asmundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, 68 United's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Mellbad came free, but Ivar Gerdberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Risbäck fans cheered their team off the field, for while 68 United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
