The Oskarshamn IK fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Oskarshamn IK's Jakob Christoffersson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vildanden FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jakob Christoffersson struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. August Arvidsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oskarshamn IK. In the 47th minute Jakob Christoffersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mats Grelsson to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jakob Christoffersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oskarshamn IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vildanden FF's goalkeeper August Arvidsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claes Örtlund took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for August Arvidsson. Vildanden FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Vildanden FF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gottfrid Hellgren hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vildanden FF's zone, Claes Örtlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Arvidsson came out of the goal and Claes Örtlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Johnsson in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Oskarshamn IK's zone, Valdemar Walmarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Skoog came out of the goal and Valdemar Walmarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Arvidsson having to interfere. August Arvidsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Folke Lundgren. Jakob Christoffersson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of August Arvidsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edvin Johnsson struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. August Arvidsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oskarshamn IK. Jakob Christofferssons short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got August Arvidsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Fabian Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Christoffersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jörn Högström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. August Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
