Valter Lönn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Alebeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Lyckeby GOIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Kinnman to maneuver through the defense. The FC Inter Orhoy fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FC Inter Orhoy's Ove Källberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Staffan Lindholm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Möller in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Einar Myhr in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Staffan Lindholm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lyckeby GOIF's Valter Lönn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Källberg in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Lyckeby GOIF booed when FC Inter Orhoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Dalman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johannes Hurtig took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Staffan Lindholm. FC Inter Orhoy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ove Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ove Källberg to make the kick off. FC Inter Orhoy's Ove Källberg got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, one of FC Inter Orhoy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Inter Orhoy. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Lyckeby GOIF. Johannes Hurtig stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Staffan Lindholm. 1-1. Dick Dalman's late challenge caught a Lyckeby GOIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Lyckeby GOIF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Inter Orhoy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lyckeby GOIF.
