But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Nordstedt couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the game, Seglora's Olov Nordstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Arne Danielsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 41st minute, Jörn Klint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gösta Ekberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Olov Nordstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seglora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Nordstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bengt-Arne Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Grubb, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Olov Nordstedts short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Bengt-Arne Danielsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Seglora's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leif Eckegren in the 82nd minute. The corner ended in Leif Eckegren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Egalunn's Bengt-Arne Danielsson did a great save. After having played for 86 minutes, Harry Valström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Egalunn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Valström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kim Grubb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bengt-Arne Danielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Seglora's Olov Nordstedt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. The FC Egalunn supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Seglora's performance. The match ended with a win for Seglora.
