Gert Sundling took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Snäll. Thomas Snäll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gert Sundling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Thomas Snäll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Snäll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gert Sundling's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Östen Hök managed to get in a good position for a shot. Odensbacken's supporters rose to their feet, but Östen Hök was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Snäll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seglora's goalkeeper Thomas Snäll, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gert Sundling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Östen Hök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Thomas Snäll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Sundling in the 30th minute of play forced Seglora's goalkeeper Thomas Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gert Sundling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Snäll was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 40th match minute, Odensbacken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Hammarberg to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Odensbacken were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Östen Hök to make the kick off. Sven Aronsson hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Odensbacken's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Dalberg in the 54th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Rikard Andreasson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Rune Askestät's late challenge caught a Odensbacken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Askestät helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Seglora got a freekick which was hit by Rune Askestät. Seglora's Thomas Snäll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Hök in the 57th minute of play. Elias Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Nordstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Leif Eckegren's late challenge caught a Odensbacken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Eckegren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Odensbacken booed when Seglora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Eckegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Nordstedt in the 66th minute of play. Thomas Snäll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Hök in the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Seglora's zone, Gert Sundling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Snäll came out of the goal and Gert Sundling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Östen Hök came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Odensbacken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Östen Hök couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Odensbacken's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Nordstedt came free, but Elias Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Kim Grubb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Grubb in the 83rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Seglora:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Odensbacken:s goal. 91 minutes into the game, Seglora's Olov Nordstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Jakobsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Kim Grubb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Seglora booed when Odensbacken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Hammarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Odensbacken's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
