Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5451, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edgar Vennerberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Edgar Vennerberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Superspur Superior SC the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Vennerberg to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Vennerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Jansson having to interfere. Östen Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edgar Vennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Jonathan Lindman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fredrik Falkrantz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Superspur Superior SC's protests and gave Fredrik Falkrantz a yellow card for diving instead. Fredrik Falkrantz kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Egil Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Arenberg in the 25th minute of play. Egil Melander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Vennerdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egil Melander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Vennerdal in the 32nd minute of the match. Oskar Arenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Egil Melander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Östen Lindgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torgny Jansson having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Vennerdal was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Vennerberg in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torgny Jansson saved Superspur Superior SC from getting behind. Eric Vennerdal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egil Melander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Jonathan Lindman charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Lindman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Lindman hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Superspur Superior SC's zone, Östen Lindgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torgny Jansson came out of the goal and Östen Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eric Vennerdal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egil Melander. That made the score 0-1 in the 74 minute of play. Ove Edström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Superspur Superior SC's Torgny Jansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Vennerberg in the 86th minute of play. Egil Melander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Vennerdal in the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Eric Vennerdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Melander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lions FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Superspur Superior SC to win.
