Peter Willig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Helström in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Ahlerot in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Willig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the game, Håkan Sandell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Väja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Landskrona BoIS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Väja's Håkan Sandell got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 27 played minutes, Väja's Niclas Bergendahl shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilhelm Wallin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Väja reached it. Håkan Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Landskrona BoIS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kåre Helström hit a great ball. Niclas Bergendahl lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 45 played minutes Väja got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Bergendahl. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Ahlerot was the one to do the kick off. Peter Willig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Berglund in the 54th minute. Jimmie Kråk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jimmie Kråk came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Väja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmie Kråk couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Walter Billock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Väja's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Billock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilhelm Wallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Walter Billock came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Väja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Billock couldn't finish the play. Alfons Jonsson made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Väja's Walter Billock. After having played for 78 minutes, Jimmie Kråk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Väja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmie Kråk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilhelm Wallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Kråk in the 79th minute of play. Gustav Apelquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Väja fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Väja's Walter Billock looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Jimmie Kråk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Walter Billock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Väja's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Billock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilhelm Wallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
