In the 12th minute Arman Gabrielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Qvarnström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agne Lundqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Qvarnström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arman Gabrielsson in the 19th minute of play forced Viksjö IFK's goalkeeper John Qvarnström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Abrahamsson charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Abrahamsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Viksjö IFK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Stefan Abrahamsson hit a great ball. If Arman Gabrielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Viksjö IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Arman Gabrielsson came free, but John Qvarnström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vallhamn's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half Viksjö IFK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thor Magnusson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stefan Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arman Gabrielsson in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Qvarnström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Viksjö IFK's zone, Arman Gabrielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Qvarnström came out of the goal and Arman Gabrielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Arman Gabrielsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Arman Gabrielsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. John Qvarnström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Viksjö IFK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Thor Magnusson hit a great ball. Arman Gabrielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. John Qvarnström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Viksjö IFK got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Abrahamsson.
