Claes Gernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Johannes Bocklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Claes Gernberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Johannes Bocklund to make any attempt to save it. 20 minutes into the match, Jimmies Soldater's goal looked a bit too open when David Säfström came free, but Bengt-Arne Torsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claes Gernberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Bocklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Holmgren in the 23rd minute of play. If Gustav Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustav Holmgren struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Johannes Bocklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimmies Soldater. If Per Drewitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Drewitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt-Arne Torsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Drewitz in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Claes Gernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jimmies Soldater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claes Gernberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When David Säfström came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Svartsjö FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Säfström couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute David Säfström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Torsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustav Holmgren was the one to do the kick off. Bengt-Arne Torsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Drewitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. David Säfström in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bengt-Arne Torsberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 56 minutes into the match, Jimmies Soldater's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Torsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Säfström. Johannes Bocklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claes Gernberg's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Gustav Holmgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johannes Bocklund. Svartsjö FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustav Holmgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 71st minute, Claes Gernberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Claes Gernberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johannes Bocklund was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Per Drewitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 minutes, Christian Bergström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jimmies Soldater and the Svartsjö FK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
