In the 7th minute, Olof Anselius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Hausse IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Kullgren to maneuver through the defense. Birger Hernström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Lindberg in the 13th minute of the match. Birger Hernström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birger Hernström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Gerdberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Johannes Kullgren kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Lukas Gerdberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Hernström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Gerdberg in the 42nd minute of play forced Hausse IF's goalkeeper Birger Hernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Kosta RK booed when Hausse IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Hägg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukas Gerdberg made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Kosta RK's Alf Lindberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birger Hernström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 56 minutes into the match, Kosta RK's Alf Lindberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Birger Hernström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Karl-Åke Ivarsson fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kosta RK's protests and gave Karl-Åke Ivarsson a yellow card for diving instead. Karl-Åke Ivarsson hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Hausse IF's Birger Hernström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Gerdberg in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Johannes Kullgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eric Hammarström struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Björn Edström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hausse IF. Hausse IF's Olof Anselius got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hausse IF's zone, Alf Lindberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Hernström came out of the goal and Alf Lindberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Birger Hernström didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. After a rather tough play, Hausse IF's Vilgot Gulliksson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Alf Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kosta RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Lindberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lukas Gerdberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Birger Hernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Lukas Gerdberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Birger Hernström. That made the score 0-3 in the 91 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kosta RK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
