After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Vilgot Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knäred IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilgot Jakobsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludvig Bern breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ludvig Bern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilgot Jakobsson in the 33rd minute of play. Ulrik Stål hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mariefred's zone, Hubert Molander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludvig Bern came out of the goal and Hubert Molander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Birger Wickander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knäred IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Wickander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ludvig Bern made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Hubert Molander sent off a good shot on target. Hubert Molander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ludvig Bern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Mariefred's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Wickander came free, but Ludvig Bern reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikael Odman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knäred IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
