Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Folke Lagerberg kicked off to start the match. Karl-Oskar Haegg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Löfskog, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Arvid Löfskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Oskar Haegg having to interfere. In the 16th minute Oskar Örtendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Oskar Haegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rune Kvick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jerry Gustavsson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folke Lagerberg in the 22nd minute of play forced Limmared's goalkeeper Jerry Gustavsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Limmared's Ulf Kilstedt got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Limmared defense, Rune Kvick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerry Gustavsson. The Limmared fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerry Gustavsson should have stopped the shot. Jerry Gustavsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Martinsson's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Albin Aspengren charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Aspengren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Limmared's Albin Aspengren got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Kvick got free with Jerry Gustavsson in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Folke Lagerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerry Gustavsson was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. If Douglas Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Limmared got a freekick which was hit by Arvid Löfskog. Rune Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Limmared's Jerry Gustavsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Kvick in the 71st minute of play. With 71 minutes on the clock, Hugo Markusson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Limmared:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AS Rom:s goal. Limmared:s Jerry Gustavsson showed great skill when he stopped Arne Berggren:s penalty. Jerry Gustavsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Kvick in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Rune Kvick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Gustavsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute AS Rom were awarded a corner. Lars Falck went to the cornerflag to take it. After 82 played minutes AS Rom got a freekick which was hit by Sören Kjellkvist. After 84 played minutes Limmared got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Örtendahl. Rune Kvick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Gustavsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Lagerberg in the 90th minute of play. Folke Lagerberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerry Gustavsson having to make a save. If Oskar Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Limmared booed when AS Rom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Lagerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rune Kvick couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AS Rom had played much better football throughout.
