Erling Bergendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niklas Isaksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lars Bruhn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Åryd RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Skark to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Åryd RK booed when Sportklubben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sportklubben's Ian Tingelholm got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Åryd RK's Sven-Erik Aronsson in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Niklas Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Bergendahl having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Åryd RK's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Isaksson came free, but Erling Bergendahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Erik Aronsson to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Sven-Erik Aronsson sped through Sportklubben's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson. In the 54th minute, Sven-Erik Aronsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivar Fernström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Bergendahl having to interfere. One of Sportklubben:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Åryd RK:s goal. Sportklubben's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
