With his leg Tommy Lindgren managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Kumla's Christoff Van Bets fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paraskevas Papandreou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A nice corner shot did that Sven-Edvin Lindström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paraskevas Papandreou quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Älmeboda's Tommy Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Seret in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noureddine Seret stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Svante Rydberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Lindgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Svante Rydberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tommy Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Åkesson in the 86th minute of play forced Kumla's goalkeeper Paraskevas Papandreou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraskevas Papandreou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Åkesson in the 90th minute of play. Hans Forsberg hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kumla getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Folke Ahlgren hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kumla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Älmeboda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
