Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tobias Bocklund started the match with the kick off. Sven-Åke Martinsson's late challenge caught a Ljungaverk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Åke Martinsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Kumla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Martinsson to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Ljungaverk's Tobias Bocklund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paraskevas Papandreou. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. Noureddine Seret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ljungaverk's goalkeeper Karl-Magnus Bergman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Folke Ahlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Paraskevas Papandreou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Bocklund in the 27th minute of play. Karl-Magnus Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoff Van Bets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Magnus Bergman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christoff Van Bets's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Christoff Van Bets scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Magnus Bergman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoff Van Bets in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Magnus Bergman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Folke Ahlgren fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kumla's protests and gave Folke Ahlgren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kumla getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Folke Ahlgren hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Svante Rydberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Magnus Bergman was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Kumla's goalkeeper Paraskevas Papandreou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Forsman. Kumla were furious when Casper Ivarsson was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 47 minutes into the game, one of Kumla:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Noureddine Seret did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Karl-Magnus Bergman 57 minutes into the match. Gustav Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paraskevas Papandreou having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Ljungaverk got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Forsman. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoff Van Bets got free with Karl-Magnus Bergman in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noureddine Seret was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Paraskevas Papandreou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Bocklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Christoff Van Bets could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Karl-Magnus Bergman made a huge save. If Tobias Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraskevas Papandreou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Bocklund's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Ljungaverk's Gustav Mattsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paraskevas Papandreou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tobias Bocklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gustav Mattsson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ljungaverk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustav Mattsson couldn't finish the play. Kumla's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
