In the 16th match minute, Racka FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Galle to maneuver through the defense. Måns Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Bergström having to interfere. Birger Mellbad took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Bergström. Olov Bergström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Snorre Knærkegaard's late challenge caught a Racka FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Snorre Knærkegaard helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Amaranthus got a freekick which was hit by Snorre Knærkegaard. Birger Mellbad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olov Bergström having to make a save. 36 minutes into the game, Amaranthus's Måns Bergqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olov Bergström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the Racka FF defense, Måns Bergqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olov Bergström. The Racka FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olov Bergström should have stopped the shot.

Olov Bergström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Snorre Knærkegaard in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Amaranthus's Snorre Knærkegaard got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Åke Hellbom in the 65th minute of play forced Amaranthus's goalkeeper Egon Stenqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Birger Mellbad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amaranthus's Birger Mellbad got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Amaranthus's Birger Mellbad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olov Bergström. Olov Bergström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 85 minutes into the game, Birger Mellbad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olov Bergström. Birger Mellbad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Olov Bergström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Mellbad in the 88th minute of play. Birger Mellbad might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olov Bergström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Birger Mellbad ran back to his position shaking his head. Måns Bergqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olov Bergström having to make a save. William Alströmmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amaranthus's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
