The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Egon Stenqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Wiman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Amaranthus's goal looked a bit too open when Lech Jurgiel came free, but Egon Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Lech Jurgiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Raske BK's Kaj Odman got a free kick in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Wiman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Egon Stenqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Esbjörn Wiman sped through Amaranthus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egon Stenqvist. In the 30th minute Esbjörn Wiman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Raske BK's Andréas Pihlwall got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Mellbad in the 38th minute of play forced Raske BK's goalkeeper Júnior Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esbjörn Wiman scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egon Stenqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Amaranthus's goal looked a bit too open when Lech Jurgiel came free, but Egon Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egon Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lech Jurgiel in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Lech Jurgiel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egon Stenqvist. Amaranthus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lech Jurgiel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esbjörn Wiman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Amaranthus got a freekick which was hit by Snorre Knærkegaard. In the 56th minute of the match, Andréas Pihlwall tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Egon Stenqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Kaj Odman put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Raske BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Egon Stenqvist was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Esbjörn Wiman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Esbjörn Wiman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. After some careless play in the Amaranthus defense, Ulf Pil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Stenqvist. The Amaranthus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Stenqvist should have stopped the shot. Egon Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esbjörn Wiman in the 80th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Esbjörn Wiman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Lech Jurgiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Egon Stenqvist made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Esbjörn Wiman took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Egon Stenqvist to make any attempt to save it. Egon Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esbjörn Wiman in the 94th minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, Raske BK's Karl-Johan Möllgren made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egon Stenqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Raske BK booed when Amaranthus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjörn Falk didn't get a good kick on the ball.
