Henning Alefors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henning Alefors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jan-Ove Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malte Åström's late challenge caught a Västerås fotboll klubb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malte Åström helped the player get up and apologised. Malte Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Tommy Barck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jan-Ove Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Persson got free with Robin Myr in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Siljansnäs's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Barck came free, but Jan-Ove Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Siljansnäs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Hult to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match, Aleksander Persson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robin Myr was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Siljansnäs's Otto Dahlman got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Västerås fotboll klubb's Robin Myr got control of the ball when Aleksander Persson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Tommy Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerås fotboll klubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Barck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan-Ove Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Berg in the 35th minute of play. If Tommy Barck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tommy Barck made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Barck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jan-Ove Lindström made a huge save. Marko Berg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 61 minutes, Bengt Smedfeldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Siljansnäs and the Västerås fotboll klubb players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bengt Smedfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Jens-Ola Stålberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Barck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Västerås fotboll klubb's Marko Berg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Ove Lindström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Christer Persson fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Västerås fotboll klubb's protests and gave Christer Persson a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Västerås fotboll klubb got a freekick which was hit by Christer Persson. 84 minutes in the game, Henning Alefors fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jan-Ove Lindström having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Siljansnäs got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Michael Västlund. Tommy Barck struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jan-Ove Lindström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västerås fotboll klubb. Västerås fotboll klubb were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
