Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuel Brogren started the match with the kick off. Surahammars IF's Nils-Erik Aleberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Surahammars IF from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Oskar Malmberg in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Lövgren saved Gullaboås IF from getting behind. After 10 played minutes Gullaboås IF got a freekick which was hit by Roger Kilstedt. Evert Lövgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Malmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Gullaboås IF's Evert Lövgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pontus Ek in the 18th minute of play. If Samuel Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sven-Oskar Utfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Aleberg having to interfere. Samuel Brogrens short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Nils-Erik Aleberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Surahammars IF's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Aleberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuel Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Aleberg having to interfere. Sven-Oskar Malmberg took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evert Lövgren. Evert Lövgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Samuel Brogren in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nils-Erik Aleberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pontus Ek in the 35th minute of play forced Gullaboås IF's goalkeeper Evert Lövgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Gullaboås IF's Jesper Bogren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils-Erik Aleberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Surahammars IF's zone, Sven-Oskar Utfal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Erik Aleberg came out of the goal and Sven-Oskar Utfal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Oskar Malmberg in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Lövgren saved Gullaboås IF from getting behind. August Skager kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Paul Collin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gullaboås IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Surahammars IF were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Oskar Malmberg made a kick off. Svante Jonasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Evert Lövgren made a huge save. Samuel Brogren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven-Oskar Utfal hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Olof Hultstrand kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Evert Lövgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Malmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Surahammars IF were awarded a corner. Wictor Cane went to the cornerflag to take it. If Samuel Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Lövgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Collin in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute Sven-Oskar Malmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Lövgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Oskar Malmberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Gullaboås IF's goalkeeper Evert Lövgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Svante Jonasson. The audience was convinced that Samuel Brogren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils-Erik Aleberg was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 96th minute, Sven-Oskar Utfal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gullaboås IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
