After having played for 4 minutes, Kjell Apelkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Felipe Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Bergqvist in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Elfenbenskusten BK's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Bergqvist came free, but Felipe Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Joel Wiberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felipe Arce was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Bergqvist in the 16th minute of play forced Elfenbenskusten BK's goalkeeper Felipe Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Elfenbenskusten BK's Carlos de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvar Bäckman. Alvar Bäckman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Alvar Bäckman made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Grettir Randversson sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Gilbert Roewen in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Stornäset FF's Magne Lindberg. Elfenbenskusten BK's Felipe Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Johansson in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fred Fridlund during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Elfenbenskusten BK booed when Stornäset FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Fridlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvar Bäckman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grettir Randversson went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Kjell Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute, Stornäset FF's Leonard Bergqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felipe Arce.
