The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Kalfhage couldn't finish the play. Viggo Björkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregory Pegrum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Gregory Pegrum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Björkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After taking down the ball on Höganäs BF's corner John Larsfelt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gregory Pegrum quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Columbo Noya in the 16th minute of play forced Höganäs BF's goalkeeper Jim Kamps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Columbo Noya scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Kamps, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Höganäs BF's Jim Kamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirza Başeskioğlu in the 19th minute of play. Viggo Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gregory Pegrum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Kamps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Columbo Noya in the 22nd minute of the match. Jim Kamps didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Wiman went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Planetstaden IK's Jörn Åman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kent Blomberg, made in the 28th minute of the game. Thomas Uggstedt hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 37 minutes in the game Kent Blomberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Johnny Åström. When Mirza Başeskioğlu fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Planetstaden IK's protests and gave Mirza Başeskioğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Mirza Başeskioğlu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gregory Pegrum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viggo Björkman in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Höganäs BF got a freekick which was hit by John Larsfelt. After a rather tough play, Höganäs BF's Thomas Wickander got a free kick in the 44th minute. Planetstaden IK's Tony Nordström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jim Kamps but with some difficulty. A collision led to Höganäs BF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Adrian Hellström hit a great ball. Jim Kamps made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Karl Wiman sent off a good shot on target. After 47 played minutes Höganäs BF got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Björkman. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Planetstaden IK's Brian Kinnman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jim Kamps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Wiman in the 57th minute of play forced Höganäs BF's goalkeeper Jim Kamps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Planetstaden IK booed when Höganäs BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Columbo Noya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jim Kamps was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Planetstaden IK's Mirza Başeskioğlu got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Mirza Başeskioğlu off the ground. If Adrian Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eidvilas Markūnas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
