With 46 minutes on the clock, Bengt-Åke Svanberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Henry Ekeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Puerto in the 91st minute of play. Bo Vall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Henry Ekeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo Vall got free with Henry Ekeberg in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
