The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos de Amorim in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Ekeberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute Carlos de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Ekeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Torparna's David Björnsson got a free kick in the 5th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Torparna's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos de Amorim came free, but Henry Ekeberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orvar Ekblom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Arce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Torparna's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos de Amorim came free, but Henry Ekeberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orvar Ekblom got free with Felipe Arce in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orvar Ekblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Arce having to interfere. Carlos de Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Ekeberg having to make a save. After 42 minutes of play, Elfenbenskusten BK's Grettir Randversson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Ekeberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Carlos de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Ekeberg was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. When Orvar Ekblom came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Torparna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orvar Ekblom couldn't finish the play. After the first half Elfenbenskusten BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wictor Söderquist was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Vilgot Åman put in a rough tackle. Vilgot Åman hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Olsson in the 54th minute of play forced Elfenbenskusten BK's goalkeeper Felipe Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Ekeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Carlos de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Ekeberg was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Walter Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Torparna booed when Elfenbenskusten BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos de Amorim in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Ekeberg saved Torparna from getting behind. Felipe Arce came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Torparna's Linus Biörkman. But to his dismay, Linus Biörkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The Torparna support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
