Hugo Kellberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Anton Glanselius made a huge save. Robert Nyman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Staffan Lundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Nyman during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Robert Nyman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Staffan Lundberg charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Staffan Lundberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Fc Malmö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Lundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcus Termander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Fc Malmö getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Staffan Lundberg hit a great ball. Fc Malmö's Anton Glanselius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Malmö from getting a goal against them. Anton Glanselius came out of the goal and Hugo Kellberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Skytt in the 40th minute of play forced Fc Malmö's goalkeeper Anton Glanselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Marcus Termander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc Malmö's Anton Glanselius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Malmö from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Termander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Termander in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Glanselius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Kellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's Marcus Termander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anton Glanselius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70thth minute of the game Marcus Termander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Malmö's Anton Glanselius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anton Glanselius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Kellberg in the 77th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Marcus Termander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Marcus Termander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Termander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Kellberg in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Marcus Termander notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Fc Malmö's Anton Glanselius. Anton Glanselius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Liverpool FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
