After 17th play minutes Michael Alebom shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Edmund Vall and just under the crossbar into goal. Fc Trollhättan were furious when Elliot Forss was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Fc Trollhättan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of IFK Ribba:s goal. The referee gave IFK Ribba a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Michael Alebom, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fc Trollhättan's Edmund Vall. 0-3. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, John Hagström put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Edmund Vall. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Alebom in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmund Vall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. IFK Ribba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pontus Åström in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes Fc Trollhättan got a freekick which was hit by Isak Bennet. Pontus Åström struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Edmund Vall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Ribba. Mustafa Barış Çile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olof Bröms in the 45th minute of the match. John Hagström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Alebom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Vall having to make a save. Edmund Vall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Alebom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Hagström made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Isak Bennet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Trollhättan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Ribba the free kick. John Hagström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Edmund Vall made a huge save. Edmund Vall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Hagström went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Michael Alebom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Vall having to interfere. John Hagströms short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Edmund Vall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. John Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Michael Alebom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Vall having to interfere. Rune Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Michael Alebom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Vall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, IFK Ribba's Olov Backlund got a free kick in the 71st minute. Michael Alebom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Edmund Vall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Hagströms short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Edmund Vall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, Michael Alebom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmund Vall, 0-6. Edmund Vall was a little too slow when Michael Alebom got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 85thth minute of the game Michael Alebom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Trollhättan's Edmund Vall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. IFK Ribba's Pontus Åström managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mikael Juhlin in the 86 minute of the game. John Hagström in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edmund Vall, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th minute of the match IFK Ribba got a corner. Fc Trollhättan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pontus Åström ran over to the corner to take the kick. IFK Ribba's Pontus Åström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edmund Vall in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 92nd minute, Michael Alebom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over IFK Ribba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fc Trollhättan throughout the match.
