In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Hisingen FK. Hans Pålsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edmund Vall. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Ronny Sillén made a precise shot to the right of Edmund Vall. Fc Trollhättan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Edmund Vall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Hellsing in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Olof Bröms managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Trollhättan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Bröms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Boström in the 28th minute of play forced Fc Trollhättan's goalkeeper Edmund Vall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Vall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Boström in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Hisingen FK's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Bröms came free, but Ted Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fc Trollhättan getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Sven Ahlgren hit a great ball. If Leif Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Bröms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Mårtensson having to interfere. Ted Mårtensson was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Olof Bröms capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olof Bröms really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronny Sillén to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Ove Brun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hisingen FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Trollhättan the free kick. Isak Bennet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Mårtensson having to interfere. If Olof Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Olof Bröms managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Trollhättan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Bröms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Anders Boström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edmund Vall. The goal made the score 1-3. Ted Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Bröms in the 68th minute of play. Fc Trollhättan's Leif Eklund got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hisingen FK's Ted Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Bröms in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Olof Bröms got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Fc Trollhättan's Olof Bröms in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hisingen FK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 82nd minute, Ove Brun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Ronny Sillén made a precise shot to the right of Edmund Vall. Fc Trollhättan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The Fc Trollhättan manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Hisingen FK to win.
