Michael Alebom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kjell Lindqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Hagström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of General Eagles booed when IFK Ribba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kjell Lindqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Alebom's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Pontus Åström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kjell Lindqvist. General Eagles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Michael Alebom took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kjell Lindqvist. Kjell Lindqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 16th match minute, General Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Tidén to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Vollander's late challenge caught a IFK Ribba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Vollander helped the player get up and apologised. Benjamin Vollander hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Axel Flink made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mark Brandin. 24 minutes into the game, Michael Alebom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kjell Lindqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Alebom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Olov Backlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, John Hagström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell Lindqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 44 minutes into the match, IFK Ribba's Michael Alebom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjell Lindqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. IFK Ribba were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after General Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pontus Åström took the corner. After taking down the ball on IFK Ribba's corner Andreas Biörkman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kjell Lindqvist quite easily take care of the ball. Kjell Lindqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Alebom in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Benjamin Vollander made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, John Hagström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rdth minute of the game Michael Alebom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but General Eagles's Kjell Lindqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Michael Alebom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell Lindqvist was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 58 minutes into the match, General Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Alebom came free, but Kjell Lindqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Michael Alebom put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Kjell Lindqvist. IFK Ribba's Rune Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Michael Alebom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute Michael Alebom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicklas Holm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Michael Alebom came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the IFK Ribba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Alebom couldn't finish the play. Michael Alebom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Kjell Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, IFK Ribba's Michael Alebom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Pettersson in the 97th minute of play forced IFK Ribba's goalkeeper Mustafa Barış Çile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
