The crowd rose to their feet as Grödinge FF's Edvin Blomkvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Håkan Pettersson. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 14th minute Joakim Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arman Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Grödinge FF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Mikael Hammarbäck hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Karl-Michael Dahlberg sped through Grödinge FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arman Dahlbom. Håkan Pettersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Käcker in the 25th minute. Matthias Hjelm kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Ingvar Jakobsson came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Grödinge FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Jakobsson couldn't finish the play. Håkan Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Wallmark in the 32nd minute of the match. Norrmalms IF's Håkan Pettersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Norrmalms IF from getting a goal against them. Arman Dahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Hedberg in the 38th minute of play. Håkan Pettersson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bengt-Åke Nyström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 39 minute of play. Tage Hedberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arman Dahlbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Tage Hedberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, Grödinge FF's Ingvar Jakobsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Håkan Pettersson. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvin Blomkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Blomkvist in the 56th minute of play forced Norrmalms IF's goalkeeper Håkan Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arman Dahlbom came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Norrmalms IF's Anthon Nyberg. But to his dismay, Anthon Nyberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Håkan Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvin Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Norrmalms IF's Anthon Nyberg got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grödinge FF's zone, Anthon Nyberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arman Dahlbom came out of the goal and Anthon Nyberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mikael Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Norrmalms IF booed when Grödinge FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Wallmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Käcker in the 80th minute of play forced Norrmalms IF's goalkeeper Håkan Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Norrmalms IF's goal looked a bit too open when Edvin Blomkvist came free, but Håkan Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joakim Bennet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arman Dahlbom having to interfere.
