When Johnny Kullgren came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ramsåsa GALAXY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Kullgren couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Norrmalms IF defense, Bo Vallander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Pettersson. The Norrmalms IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Pettersson should have stopped the shot. After 24 minutes of play, Ramsåsa GALAXY's Johnny Kullgren made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norrmalms IF's Joakim Bennet got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Östman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Michael Dahlberg in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Vallander in the 43rd minute of play forced Norrmalms IF's goalkeeper Håkan Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigvard Hammarström kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnny Kullgren to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Norrmalms IF's Håkan Pettersson got control of the ball when Johnny Kullgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Håkan Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Hammarström, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Norrmalms IF's zone, Bo Vallander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Pettersson came out of the goal and Bo Vallander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
