Sebastian Gabrielsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of The Dicks BK booed when Bottnaryd IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Berggren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match David Hedling sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edvard Källberg skillfully saved the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Bottnaryd IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Hjelm came free, but Edvard Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes The Dicks BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jan Mossberg who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 46 minutes, Tor Tolsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bottnaryd IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Tolsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Dicks BK's Herman Lund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Drake in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
